2016 – This year once again was a non-stop Foolorama. The day began with a story that stirred up an outpouring of outrage about John Rice being fired from his position at the Hyde Center. Said John “after I got over the initial shock, it was like being at my own funeral and hearing people say so many nice things about me”. Once the cat was out of the bag about John Rice’s firing being a prank we opened up a fire hose of April Fool stories for the rest of the day.

2015 – This year turned into an absolute April Fools extravaganza. The day began with a string of early morning stories about an upcoming big press conference. A post purporting to be live from City Hall reported that Mayor Setti Warren had just resigned. People all over the city were taken in by this story. Once people figured out it was a scam then it was announced that Village14 had just been sold to The Onion. The masthead changed to the Newton Onion and for the rest of the day Village 14 became an endless stream of goofy April Fools/Onion style stories.
