The Newton Nomadic Theater, in cooperation with the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, will be offering free camel rides this afternoon from 4-7pm in the Newton Centre Parking lot. The historic trough at the corner of the lot at the intersection of Beacon and Centre Streets will be filled with Paul Neuman Lemonade generously donated by Whole Foods and free to passersby. The MBTA will provide dinner service from 5-8pm between Newton Center and Riverside Stations, offering boxed selections of peanut butter and jelly or Fluffernutter sandwiches for the hour and a half journey to Route 128.

The Newton Police Department will be providing security for camel riders threatened by the expected PETA protestors.
