The Newton Nomadic Theater has just started rehearsals for “The Full Monty” musical extravaganza. Up to now, the Nomadic Theater has made its name with small cast, simply staged productions.
Linda Goetz, co-founder of the theater says “we think it’s time to get more ambitious, and do a different kind of stripped down theater. Yes, moving a cast of a dozen and elaborate sets every night or two will present a few challenges but we think we’re up to it.”
Says Goetz “We know we’ll have to make a few concessions. For example the stage area at Dunn Gaherins is only about 7 feet wide so we may have to simplify the set a bit. So long as the actors are buck naked we’re sure the audience won’t mind the simplified set”
