Something tells me this was not high on the list of needs of the long-time residents of this neighborhood. Just saying. But then, some folks seem to know what my neighborhood also needs so that it can start ‘gaining traction’ as you say.
Is a community only supposed to welcome and encourage businesses that serve the “needs of long-time residents” of that neighborhood? Please share your thoughts.

Reconstruction of the Joseph Thompson foot bridge which provided a nice connection between Nonantum and Watertown Square was originally planned to be in place by the end of 2017. The new bridge arrived Wednesday, Watertown News reports.

City planner and urban designer Jeff Speck is the lead designer of the soon to be proposed designed for the Riverside MBTA station (and also the guy behind this vision for Washington Street). He submitted this guest blog post.
