Just as the Andy Levin era has ended at the Newton TAB comes this “news” from the paper’s front page..
“Some Boston area towns and cities have a hidden problem — a lack of affordable housing for low income families..
…this is a regional, even national problem that many Boston area communities like Newton, Wellesley and Needham are facing…”
Not sure what the Andy Levin connection is, Greg. Care to elaborate?
Not sure this problem is “hidden”…..
This is not a hidden problem. It is a problem.
No bleep sherlock
Um…it’s very poor journalism to write that a well-known, public, ubiquitous issue is a “hidden problem.”
I’ve never been more concerned about the quality of the Newton Tab.
@Ralph: My point is this is what happens when a newspaper loses continuity and oversight. Housing has been the most visible and politically contentious issue in Newton for the past 3-4 years. Nothing “hidden” here.
Is anyone actually replacing Andy? Or is Gate House Media simply turning over the “news” here to its staff in Texas, which centralizes a lot of the work for their huge empire?
