Program series will explore Newton’s housing needs

U-CHAN (Uniting Citizens for Housing Affordability in Newton) is launching a four part series of programs designed to provide Newton Residents with factual information to enhance our knowledge of housing needs.

The first program, on Jan. 25 from 7-9 p.m. will feature a presentation by Clark Ziegler, executive director at the Massachusetts Housing Partnership

Ziegler will discuss  data and reports developed by the MHP, theMetropolitan Area Council, the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, the Boston Foundation, the U.S. department of Housing and Urban Development and others which will help us understand and address Newton’s needs.

The event will be held at  Eliot Church, 474 Centre Street at Newton Corner.

    Has there been any follow-up on since the accessory unit ordinance?

    Would be great to see how many residents actually applied since this hard fought ordinance was approved.
