City Councilor Amy Sangiolo (first elected in 1997) made that remark during Tuesday’s City Council marathon debate on a proposed summer leaf blower ban. As of 11 p.m. the council was still working its way through a series of amendments. If you watched or were there, do you agree with Sangiolio’s comment. WOW – 2 years of work and they couldn’t even give Newton Safe and Sound their Summer Ban. Just shows how ineffective Alison Leary is. Maybe if she hadn’t tried to put in those exemptions for the Golf Courses, Colleges and the City she might have had some credibility about her concerns and gotten some where with this. If you really wanted a Summer Ban Alison – it should have been for everyone.
Feel sorry for ALL those people that just wanted some peace and quiet for the summer.
