In my capacity as chamber president, I had chance to speak with now-former City Councilor and Congressman-elect Jake Auchincloss about his transition today.

You can bet mayor fuller is eyeing Elizabeth Warren’s senate seat if she gets a cabinet position…
Bugek. I’d happily take your money on that one. Feel free to Venmo it to me.

Jake is a thoughtful, studious public servant who will serve our district with distinction. Best of luck!
@Bob Jampol, were Jake’s statements about the Confederate flag, Muslims, and Indigenous Peoples’ Day in any way “thoughtful”? Shame on anyone who defends this guy, especially those claiming to be progressive.
Bob Jampol, ditto. Go Jake!
Jake was not my first choice in the primary election, but we were fortunate to have many qualified candidates, and I am pleased we have someone of his caliber in the House. As a City Councilor, he was attentive to his constituents and thoughtful in his presentation of the issues. Those attributes will serve him well in DC.
