@Julia–the”younger generation” isn’t confused by the phrase you quoted. They just understand that it comes from a sexist and repressive era.

The followup to this cartoon could be all futuristic and Jetsons-like with the year 2500 with the Newton School Committee continuing to discuss this. Although that might be too close to reality!
