Commonwealth Shakespeare Company will bring a FREE! performance of Shakespeare’s Henry VI (Part II) to the Hyde Playground Bandstand, tonight Sunday July 29, at 7:30 PM as part of the Summer in the Highlands series.  Every weekend through Sept 8, the Hyde Bandstand features free music, movies and theater.  A performance by the  Commonwealth Shakespeare Company has become an annual feature of the Hyde’s wonderful summer program.

Remarkably, this is not your only choice for free outdoor theater in Newton tonight.  The Newton Theater Company will present their final performance of the Greek tragedy Iphigenia at Aulis on Newton City Hall steps , also at 7:30 Sunday July 29.

Pick your history – English or Greek.  Pick you playwright – Shakespeare or Euripides.  Pick your venue – the Hyde Bandstand or City Hall.  Now go out and see some FREE theater in Newton tonight.
