Kudos to the Chamber for producing and disseminating this survey. I tried to answer the questions as honestly as possible, but I think the overall thrust of my answers may have mad it seem as though I’m less supportive of public transportation than I actually am. I would never drive a car into downtown Boston when a D Line trolley stop is less than 3 minutes walking distance from my house and it’s less than a half hour trip. But I would never think of trying to get to Melrose on the T. I can drive there in 35 minutes, but it would take me well over 2 hours by public transportation.
