Friends of Newton Man Struck in NYC

NPR just ran a story on Martin Marro’s five friends from Argentina. Marro is the Newtonian seriously injured in yesterday’s car attack in NYC. The friends were classmates visiting New York with Marro. All five friends died. A sad story just gets sadder.

    Martin’s in intensive care, however his injuries are not life-threatening, from what I have been told from someone with him in NYC. I can’t begin to understand the suffering one goes through when your 5 closest childhood friends are killed by a terrorist, and you survive.

      I’m not in the habit of sending compliments in Janet’s direction but props to her for being the first and so far only candidate to take a moment to acknowledge or send positive thoughts about this tragedy.
