In addition to Gail Spector, there’s a few other last minute surprises on the list of candidates running for office this fall, including Christopher Markiewicz, challenging Jay Harney in ward 4 seat and frequent candidate Janet Sterman running yet again in Ward 1.
Also coming in just under the wire: Candidates for mayor Al Cecchinelli and Richard Saunders but not so far Eli Katzoff
Although the deadline was 5 p.m. today, a list published at 5:30 today on the city election site indicates it is not yet final so there could be more.
And as a reminder to all candidates, the deadline for publishing a blog post explaining why you are running on Village 14 is Tuesday Aug. 1.
Just to be clear, I handed in our 560 signatures this morning. City hall just needs a bit of time to sort through them/validate.

Glad Janet Sterman is Running for Ward 1 Councilor. I would rather an “outspoken” Councilor like Janet Sterman than a Councilor who only runs with the $500.00 Crowd.
