Haven’t ventured out in Newton Corner- looks messy as it’s still snowing as I write this (5:40 pm), but hearing frequent plow activity. I predict the timing of the storm will help with a decent cleanup- at least in this neighborhood.

Great job by Mayor Warren and DPW with snow management this time around! Was very pleased to be able to have one of my best post-storm long runs thanks to the roads being in such good shape. When the roads are so clear that you can run 11 miles, closing at 5:45 pace with negative zero degree windchill, credit is due!

For eight years our little side street (spring st) rarely got plowed without calls to the city. This time the city took care of it without any prodding from the neighbors. Good job !

My street is usually very well cleared. the city also does one side of sidewalk–which usually I have to shovel out afterward (those who want the city to clear sidewalks–beware–this is often harder than clearing the sidewalk before it’s packed and salted). But this time–really well done. I only had the right-hand corners to clear where the plow doesn’t.

Newton Highlands south of Route 9 is in good shape as well.

Clearly, this is what the city needs for the sidewalks:
