Thank you for posting this, the fact that there was a plan for auto traffic diversion months ago and we are only seeing the exact bus diversion now is simply astounding. (obviously there is not much you can do about it and there really is only one route it could take, but its the principal of the matter. The bus and auto traffic diversion should have been released at the same time.)
@John: Not making excuses, but FYI: the traffic matters are controlled by Newton and Needham. The bus details needed to come from the MBTA. And as with the actual T — or even the 59 bus — it doesn’t always arrive when it should.
What a loopy detour. Why couldn’t it just go over Highland Ave.?
If it’s going to go down Route 9, the Needham-bound bus should just turn directly from Woodward Street onto Route 9 westbound.
