Yes it is true and I for one am so sorry to be losing such a great family business. I believe the new owners have purchased all the recipes and plan to continue the current offerings. But having gotten to know Steve and Eunice due to our collaboration on Village Day (Eunice designed all the graphics, including the Newton Highlands logo that you see on promo materials) I have developed a fondness and respect for their work ethic and what they bring to the neighborhood.
I wish the new owners well and look forward to getting to know them. But the Fellers are special and I had hoped would remain a fixture in our great neighborhood for years to come.
Having said that, it’s a grueling business – I know Eunice and Steve put in very long hours – and I understand the decision to move on. I know whatever they do next will be interesting to see.
Good luck, Mr and Mrs Feller!
Steve and Eunice are awesome. I hope they will stay in Newton, even if they aren’t running a business in Newton.
This is a bummer. Agreed with the prior posters, I love B&C and Steve and Eunice are terrific.
Even back in April they were beginning to seem a bit restless
This is very sad news, but I hope it gives Steve and Eunice a chance to wind down a bit from the grueling task of running a great and highly frequented eating establishment in the Highlands. I’m on the Highlands Area Council, and the Fellers have been two of the most supportive business folks in the Village for many of the activities our council is engaged in. They have helped to make the Highlands a real community and a real village.
