When you fight this hatred with more hatred, you are the problem. You think that because you have been persecuted, and you have been victimized, that you are above tolerance and education. Your own painful experiences do not justify this kind of behavior.

The article was a well written representation of both the meeting and the students in Newton. It characterized a desire and willingness to approach these abuses as chances to teach us all a better way while working together. There are great students in Newton who want to be more than just tolerant but really understand and care.
