Newton Mayor Setti Warren is holding a community forum Thursday evening to addresses issues of prejudice and discrimination. The forum will include leaders from the city and beyond, and will be an opportunity for residents of all ages to ask questions and help city leaders ensure that Newton is the most welcoming community that it can be. The event will be held on Thursday, April 7th at 6:30pm in the War Memorial of Newton City Hall, located at 1000 Commonwealth Avenue.
Decent turnout. My daughter is taking notes for a possible article in her school paper.

Seriously? Adults booing and hissing at the Superintendent of Schools before hearing what he has to say?
Not the best sign of open minds as this process of community involvement in mutual support becomes more organized.
I don’t agree with many of his recent decisions, but he is in authority and we will need to work with him.
Plus, it was tacky.
