I plan to pull a Republican ballot tomorrow and vote for John Kasich.
That’s not because he’s my first choice for our next president but because I want to do my small part to limit Donald Trump’s delegate count from Massachusetts.

Despite my 23-year-old son’s best efforts to convince me to vote for Bernie, I’m not only voting for Hillary, I can’t wait to vote for her!
Just received a robo call from State Rep. Brad Jones for Marco Rubio. That’s the best Rubio could do?

Short line at the Hyde – 5-2
My ballot was #7 in the machine!
Wow. Quite a turnout for an area council election! I was #161 at 8:35 in 5/2.

Will the stats be available for how many unenrolled voters voted in each Party’s Primary? I am unenrolled and at a loss for which ballot to take. No matter which one I choose, I will be voting against someone in the other Party! I will be holding my nose. I can’t believe that our Presidential candidate pool has sunk to this level. Let’s see, do I want a demagogue, a conniver, a zealot, an infant, or a fantasist as my President?
I bet you can guess who wears those labels IMHO!

My son (turned 18 last Dec) and I turned in ballots #63 and 64 for 1/3 at Bigelow at a little after 7:30. Only saw 1 sign-holder outside (for Hillary).

#227 at Community Center in West Newton.
Two thoughts: The people volunteering there could not have been nicer.
and
The presence of a bake sale, flowing with goodies, was a delightful sight. It isn’t always there and was a real treat. The chance that it will be there is 90% of the reason why I vote!

@Mark: Michelle Obama would not approve. Neither would Michael Bloomberg!

It’s great to see such a good turnout! I was #523 in 2-3 around 11:00am. No goodies to be found. I may move to West Newton.

I just left 5-3 and 5-4 at 2 pm, where over 25% had voted (that’s anything over 500 in most precincts, FYI)

Golly. Voted at 2 p.m., usually the doldrums, but today the joint (6/4) was jumping. I was so busy talking to neighbors that I forgot to check the count. This primary has been silent running, though. We received one piece of mail, maybe two. One leaflet left at the door. No phone calls. No signs at the polls. Hardly any lawn signs. I suppose everything has moved to the Internet. And today, more unsettling news for a lifelong Democrat like me: 20,000 Massachusetts registered Dems have unenrolled from the party. Presumably these are Mitt Romney-Charlie Baker voters who finally decided to come out of the closet. But are they inspired to vote for Trump or against him? That’s the question.

I seriously toyed with the idea of voting in the Republican primary for Trump, so that whoever the Democratic candidate is, they’d be running against that bozo.
In the end I couldn’t do it. On the remote chance that Trump ever ended up in the White House I would never have forgiven myself.
Mark Marderosian – When I moved to Newton I was totally happy with my new home … except for one glaring deficiency that plagues me to this day. There are no baked goods at my polling place. What kind of a $%#*&! democracy is that? I have spent most of my adult years gorging on baked goods every election day. Without being loaded up on sweets I have a hard time focusing on my ballot.

Jerry, I totally sympathize. It is indeed a sad state of affairs for this democracy. Please visit the community center for a fix.
Sallee, I hear you. But I ONLY eat desserts once every two years during an election. Really… those M&Ms in my pocket last week were planted by an evil secret agent.

I was number 470 at Ward 1/1 at 3:30. No lines, no sign holders.
I will say that the color of the ballots seemed very confusing. One would think that the blue ballot would be for Democrats and the red ballot for Republicans. But no…..! Who’s idea was this?

#646 in 6/1 at 3:30pm. I was told that was about 40%

#535 in 2-2 at 5:30.
Come on, y’all, get over there and vote.

#735 in 5-2 @5:20.
During the <5 minutes I was inside, the bake sale shut down. Disappointed yet relieved at the same time.
One Hilary sign-holder outside. Curious if anyone in Newton has seen a Trump supporter near a polling place.
