Our many Village 14 users who visit and/or participate here via their smart phones or pads will certainly have noticed that this site looks different — but not yet necessarily improved. Our Village 14 web guru is working on incorporating a mobile platform, but we all know it needs adjustments. Thanks for your patience.
Village 14’s mobile site under construction

While the details get ironed out, you can always go to the bottom right corner on the phone screen and click the button to get the standard (non-mobile) display.
I noticed the change during my current travels in Brussels. Glad it was a design and not too many beers.
It is better in some ways for my iPhone but looking forward to the other improvements.
I just got a phone upgrade and thought Droid was dozing! thanks for the heads up.
Thanks for this post Greg!
Villagers, I’m doing a good deal of work and trying a bunch of things.
Trying to make the mobile experience better, and to keep Google happy, even though we don’t need to rely much on traffic from Google due to all our loyal followers.
Still we want the world to know about us, and it warms my heart if we beat GateHouse (Newton Tab) in the Search Engines.
My little QuincyQuarry.com sometimes beats out Wicked Local Quincy in a search for “news about Quincy”.
But I digress.
Once I’m done fiddling I’ll let Greg know and you all can have at me.
Deal?
Thanks Webmaster!
Thanks Jerry for telling about the button.
I was having trouble reading the tiny script on the mobile site that wouldn’t expand. I also missed the latest comments and the blogs to click.
@Webmaster: I always thought you were Greg. Strange to have one’s assumptions challenged and uprooted. Hello, and thank you for the work you do to keep us blustering, blabbing and blogging.
Thanks Sallee, Greg and I go back a few years, I think he’s swell.
And we all wouldn’t be ‘here’ if it wasn’t for all the hard work (much more that what I do) Greg does.
Definitely, hats off to Greg…that goes without saying…which is why I didn’t say it! Where else can we all blather about politics and policies and know that the entire elected, appointed and anointed of Newton will read it or hear about it? But, you were lurking in the shadows, maintaining the larynx of our collective voices and we (I and my tape worm) never knew it. So, I thank you, too.
Well Sallee, I’m humbled.
Each day I find a new thing of which I no little.
However, shameless plug, I started a new company called SERPCOM (http://serpcom.com) and V14 is one of my “clients”.
BTW, I’m aware there is an issue with commenting on the mobile version of V14. I’m working on it.
