This just in…
My name is Frank Wolpe; and it’s an honor to announce my candidacy for Alderman at Large from Ward 8.
I am a doer, with extensive experience in policy at the federal level, success as a pioneer in academic tax law, happy to be a long-time Newton community volunteer, a record as an accomplished leader in a number of other spheres and above all, a husband and father, whose son grew up in our schools.
Accordingly, I feel as though I offer an incredible depth of experience and heartfelt dedication to Newton as a candidate for public office.

Frank Wolpe, Esq.
Frank would be a terrific addition to the Board/Council. Good luck in the effort!
Glad to see someone running. Congratulations on your announcement Frank!
Welcome to the race Mr. Wolpe
He appears to be a highly qualified candidate. I love that he’s a 42 year resident of Newton, because nothing is more valuable than the perspective afforded by time. Best of luck Frank!
Thanks Mike,
By that measure of ‘perspective over time’, I should be granted some cred when after 47 years of residency and 24 years of Newton Historical Commission service, I might advocate for the preservation of the ” Character” of the Garden City”. As rampant real estate development is swamping the city with creeping urbanism, traffic jambs, and green space loss this Architect calls for reform that might stabilize what we have and insure residents of their investment in this community.
Go Frank !
Don’t you all appreciate rational oversite ?
Sounds like an interesting candidate. Hope he holds the line on taxes is isn’t afraid to challenge the Warren administration when necessary.
