Hi Greg,
We would be interested in contributing a relevant and original article to your site, village14.com.
The piece will include a few contextual references to our client. We’ll also pay $100 per article for your time and effort.
Please email me back if this is something that you might consider, Greg. We’ll then start working on the draft and send it over for your final review and approval.
Thanks and here’s hoping I hear back from you soon!
Yours,
[name withheld]
Glad to hear it guys. but I really would not mind if that means you can invest more time in the site. As long as your transparent about it.
You guys rock!
Full disclosure, please
@Doug. I actually have no idea, since I never asked and this was not a person I knew or an email I recognized.
But I can tell you, I believe it was someone marketing a product, not a developer or anyone that has business before the city. But I can’t say that for a fact because I never asked. I simply sent a reply saying we do not do that.
So if an article is worth $100, what is a comment worth?
I’m holding out for someone who will pay us not to post. I’m sure there’s a market for that. Maybe we need a Kick-Stopper campaign.
I do like to put my two cents in.

“Pay me to stop” does remind me of this. .
Greg you should definitely trademark “Kickstopper”
