Ted Hess-Mahan posted this on Twitter tonight. Maybe if they’re really thirsty, aldermen meetings will end sooner
Latest brilliant cost saving idea from the bean counters in the City of Newton: 2 oz water cups. #epicfail pic.twitter.com/lZ4NYKO2Hw

When I and the rest of the Newton Taxpayers Association’s Leadership Council advocates for promoting fiscal stewardship, we focus on big ticket spending items, rather than nickel-nursing like this.
I don’t know how much these new water cups save, but I’m sure that Newton would save more money if it was to stop paying part of the salary of the Newton Teachers Association’s President.
Is he unraveling? Everything from the city hall pond dredging to a film production…. Now someone checks off the wrong box on the supply order and he’s calling out “bean counters” and conspirators.
Ted, you forgot your semicolon, cap D again.
Only in Newton would this be considered an #epicfail.
Sigh. Twitter needs a sarcasm font.
Yeah Josh, Hoss and Jane. I’m confident Ted was just being sarcastic. Perhaps you need to be more familiar with Twitter-speak to get it.
Keep it up, Ted….we all need a healthy dose of humor or we will go crazy!! Let the haters hate!!!
