After battling with inclement weather last fall, the organizers of Tour de Newton have wisely decided to hold the second annual Tour de Newton 20 mile bicycling a June event. Here’s the early details. I’m sure Jerry Reilly will weigh in at some point with much more.

Why yes I will weigh in. If you didn’t ride last year, I’d urge you to give it a try this year. It’s a great event for the whole family and even occasional riders. We’re expecting this year’s event to be filled to capacity so I’d recommend signing up (via the link above) well before the event.
Also, we’re recruiting village greeters for all 13 villages. So if you don’t want to ride, please consider being a greeter in your village. It’s a great fun gig, just ask anyone who did it last year. Every 15 or minutes or so a new group of riders arrives from a different village. You and your neighbors greet them with refreshments, village badges and a bit of info about your village. If you might be interested, send me an email ([email protected]) and I’ll send you more information.
