Thank you to two fine aldermen!
I agree with Terry Malloy’s compliments to outgoing Alderman Linsky regarding his ties.

Both Mitch and Steve have been remarkable public servants in the best sense that this term is applied My favorite Steve Linsky story has nothing to do with the Board. It occurred during the first Obama campaign when a group of us, that included Steve and my sister, were doing a visibility with signs over the Mass Pike in Newton Corner. The weather suddenly turned cold which quickly became uncomfortable because neither Joanne or I had on a warm coat. Steve did have a warm coat. He came up to Joanne, took off his coat and in a gallant gesture, draped it around her shoulders. Class act.
I agree that both these gentlemen served our city well. I hope and expect that they will continue to contribute to Newton’s civic life in a variety of ways (including right here on Village 14).
