Trevor Jones at Wicked Local does a nice job telling us which candidates have put a least one foot into the fall campaign for alderman and school committee.
Most noteworthy: The list still does not include any one from Ward 3 At Large

What happens if no one collects the signatures and gets on the ballot for Ward 3?
The person with the most write-ins wins.
What if, hypothetically of course, the person with the most write-ins doesn’t want to be alderman, which is why he didn’t run for reelection in the first place?
…and for that matter, what if the second highest vote-getter was a woman who also currently holds the seat but who has been saying for two years that she would not seek reelection.
OR EVEN, what if its a well-known political insider/professional pollster/lightening rod who apparently had papers pulled on his behalf as “a prank”?
Settle down, you two.
Oh God, it looks like an issue for charter review:).
