Sometimes I think Newton Alderman John Rice doesn’t know how to say “no.”
And, it seems that Newton Highlands Businesses don’t know how to say “no” to Rice either.
So once again, in his role as Director of the Hyde Community Center — and with a lot of help from the Newton Highlands Area Council — the Hyde’s annual Winter Social is taking place this Saturday Jan. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Soup (and other foods) are being provided by O’Hara’s, Jamjuli, 51 Lincoln, Rox Diner, Newton House of Pizza, Bread & Chocolate, Lincoln St Coffee, the Beacon Street Whole Foods, Vinodivino, Walnut Market and Starbucks.
And did I mention, this event –and the soup–is free for you?
We just returned to Panama City from the jungle and mountains but our email won’t send anything. Just to let John, Barbara, Srdj et.al that we are still alive and I’m ready to help with the setup and cleanup next Saturday at the Soup Social.
Bob! Glad you’re safe. But the soup social is tomorrow, not next week. We’ll save you a few rolls.
