Herald columnist Kimberly Atkins on the possible Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate if Sen. John Kerry takes a cabinet job in the Obama Administration…
When [Elizabeth] Warren jumped into the Senate race, Newton mayor and former Kerry aide Setti Warren dutifully bowed out. This seems like a good time for the party to consider returning the favor by backing him this time around.
By the way, I don’t believe this for a minute. There is no way that our mayor would run for Senate now that he’s committed to an override campaign. I believe he’s fully committed to this and to our community. But that doesn’t mean outsiders won’t be dropping his name, especially if Kerry does indeed move on.
Will this never end?
He’s not even a great mayor.
