UPDATE: We posted this about one week ago but I’ve just had a chance to watch this and recommend you do too.  Unforgettable? Surreal? Inspiring? Depressing? Distressing? Entertaining? Cable Access at its best/worst? Democracy in action? You be the judge.

Here’s the NewTV/League of Woman Voters debate for District Three Governor’s Council with Democratic incumbent Marilyn M. Pettito Devaney and independent Tom Sheff.
I just wanted to note for the record (and after watching this): Mind=blown.
Not my finest hour.
Fascinating watching them squabble over time with the League moderator…I don’t recall seeing that happen before Romney and Obama.
Greg, I wasn’t squabbling. By asking for more time, I was hoping people would notice how consistently my opponent didn’t adhere to the rules and keep her comments within the time frame. When the moderator popped in I finished what I had to say, she kept going for another 3o seconds. The show was edited, so a lot of the issues didnt get on camera….you had to be there:).
Monty Python puts on a debate. Very surreal. Absurd moderator… shouldn’t we expect more from the League of Women Voters?
