Newton trivia: Stump your neighbors here

Deirdre Fernandes from the Globe wrote a good overview of  the business challenges facing Newton’s village centers yesterday and also included a short quiz about our villages.

1. Can you name all 13 Newton villages?

2. Which village hosted Town Hall from 1849 to 1932?

3. Which village is nicknamed “the Lake”?

4. Which village was named for a hermit who lived in the nearby woods? (Hint: The village is still hard to find.)

Now I’m guessing more Village 14 readers aced this quiz. (Answers here.) So here’s your chance to stump your neighbors.  Pose your own trivia questions about our villages in the comments section and let’s see who is the first to answer correctly.

    um … has anyone pointed out that the answers are only 1/2 correlate to the questions?

    13 Villages are correct, but West Newton should be #2, Nonantum should be #3, #4 is correct for Thompsonville, but Oak Hill should be answer #5 and #6 is correct.
