I hope they find someone good to replace him. N-W is definitely a much better hospital than it was before his tenure.
Dr. Jellinek is a terrific person as well as a wonderful administrator at NWH who has really turned things around there. When I had to bring my father there last year for a series of appointments, tests, scans, etc., every single person who dealt with him and with me was courteous, helpful, cheerful and supportive, including the medical technicians, the doctors, the nurses, the front desk receptionist, and the custodian who picked up his coat after it fell from his wheelchair and chased us down the hall to return it to him. That kind of environment comes from the top down, and I know (because I spoke to him about it) that Dr. Jellinek takes great pride in the quality of medical services as well as the positive interaction with patients and their family that he has successfully fostered. He will be greatly missed. Best wishes, Dr. Jellinek!
