If you’ve never been to the St. Mary of Carmen Society Festival in Nonantum then, well, you really haven’t experienced everything there is to know about living in Newton.
The summer’s best festival begins tonight Wednesday, July 11 and continues through Sunday. My absolute favorite event is the Sunday evening candlelight procession at 10 p.m. with fireworks and the flight of the angel. Here’s the full schedule and a video from last year.
Just wanted to say thanks to all who came out this year, the weather was perfect and our crowds were huge! Thank you to all the city officials especially the Parks & Recreation & Police Department in working with us to make this years festival such a great success once again! Next years Festival is July 17th – 21st. Hope to see everyone there!
