Bill Honeycutt, owner of Brewer’s Coalition, the latest restaurant opening at the corner of Walnut and Washington Park tells Patch why he’s going to succeed at a location where others haven’t.
The curse of 344 Walnut Street?

Newton pubs with good food and cheer are packed: O’Hara’s, Buff’s, Dunn & Gaherin, Paddy O’s, Cherry Tree, the Local.
There’s certainly room for another if they provide the essentials. Good luck to Brewer’s Coalition! I’ll invest in a few pints…
Last night, the Board of Aldermen approved a special permit for another “village pub” in Newton Centre called Terry O’Reilly’s Pub (real name, but not the former Boston Bruin) where Sabra Restaurant was located. Best of luck to all of our Irish (and not so Irish) village pubs. And keep your stick on the ice.
Of course Brewers will succeed; if you need to find one of the instructors or students from North, tis just a short walk away. BTW Greg Sihoulette was not on the corner.
Greg-Schlock’s comment was highly disrespectful of the NNHS staff. Given that public school teachers are demeaned daily in the media, I would respectfully request that you delete this message.
