Bank of America will be closing its branch in Newton Highlands on August 17, 2012, according to two reliable sources.
The stand alone building on Walnut Street with a hard-to-navigate parking lot and awkward drive-in ATM window is actually owned by Bank of America (not leased). It is a 7923 sq ft lot with a 4820 sq ft building area. The property is assessed at just over $902K
Anybody have any suggestions for what you’d like to see there?
Great opportunity to get rid of some pedestrian-unfriendly curb cuts, no matter what goes in.
How about if we dig a really big hole, fill it with water and allow swim at your own risk?
Seal the doors and windows, open up the roof, and fill the building with water. It would be cheaper.
I like Greg’s idea, as it would be a continuation of Bank of America’s policy… Bank at your own risk.
@Mike: Good one
I’d guess that it will end up as another bank. It is a prime location though. Right by the T, with parking.
