OK, so I’m pretty sure V-Tek is actually a former Newton resident and Gail Spector vows she will continue to be active in Newton civic life.
But both are a big loss and mark the end of an era.

Sigh.
Greg –
1. I did not announce my retirement. I announced my resignation as editor of the Newton TAB. I fully intend to work again; I just don’t know where, when or what I’ll be doing — which is all part of the adventure. Maybe I’ll write a novel about Newton.
2. I did not vow to continue to be active in Newton. I said my passion for the community isn’t going away. Those are different things.
Didn’t I teach you anything?
@Gail: Which one are you again? The person in the Red Sox uniform or the pink sweater?
Frankly, I had questions about either one of them throwing out a runner at second. But you can’t question their contribution.
Despite my best efforts, regrettably, I confess that I throw like a girl. (Sorry for the generalization.)
Gail, I guess the only prominent Newton resident who graduated from FM High will be out of the lime light. I hope your next venture makes all of us equally proud!
I wish Gail the best. I like everything she stands for. Good people.
glad to hear she will be deleting inappropriate posts to Barry Cohen on Village 14.
We will certainly miss V-tek.
