One year ago today, Village 14 was born.
I could not be sure at that time if I’d still be working or even living in Newton by now. I certainly could not have imagined how this virtual community would blossom.
Thanks to my co-hosts here, our regular and semi-regular contributors … and to all the lurkers too. Somehow, together, we’ve found a way to make this site both relevant and irreverent.
I’m game for another year. Anyone else?
Happy birthday! Thank you for being such an important addition to the Newton community – I don’t know how we did without you for so long.
Count me in.
Thanks to you Greg for making Village 14 so interesting. The city has benefited from your need to keep on blogging.
Happy 1st Birthday Village 14!
Happy Birthday … so, will Village 14 host a Birthday Party … possibly in the style of the former Bloggers’ Ball?
Ditto.
Happy Birthday, and thanks for sticking around in Newton, Greg. Village14 is a great source for community news and for taking its pulse, so to speak……and your work at the Chamber has lifted that organization to new heights. Cheers!
Congratulations Greg and thank you for your many contributions to life in the city!
On another note just wondering how I add my Facebook photo to the response window?
@Kay: Go here.
Happy Birthday Village 14~!
Thank you Greg for inspiring this great Newton resource.
Thanks to Greg, Sean, and everyone who makes the Village 14 Blog such a great place to exchange ideas. Also, a special thanks to the handful of public officials [Greer, Ted, Steve] who are regulars on this blog. It takes a lot of courage to engage constituents in this way, and I sincerely appreciate their willingness to do it.
Thanks for the many nice comments. Much appreciated.
BTW, I’m not at liberty to say too much because the plan still has to be cleared by the Village 14 legal team and then get the requisite approvals from our corporate headquarters but, yes, the Village 14 Special Events Department is deliberating Alderman Swiston’s suggestion that we have a, shall we say, “party.”
I love this blog. I’m glad it’s thriving.
I also appreciate the public officials who comment, and especially the comprehensiveness of Ted’s comments!
