We have two land line numbers in our house so perhaps we’re getting twice the calls, but I’m guessing the robo calls this weekend have been relentless for everyone.
Who has the most annoying robo calls? Or have you received any robo calls that you’ve enjoyed?

I have actually been somewhat successful in stopping robo calls. I call the campaign headquarters of the particular candidate that is making me crazy and ask to be removed from their call list. This has worked for both the national and local candidates. I have found that if I call after the very first robo call, it pretty much takes care of it for the entire election season.
I will say that it does not work EVERY time, but any success you get is worth the peace and quiet of not having the phone ring incessantly.
@Greg – Great photo (above)
The vast majority of calls we’re getting are for Sean Bielat.
@Greg – I’d love to join the conversation but all of a sudden I’m having a hard time reading the posts because everything shrunk and now you have hitchhiking thumbs at the bottom of the page.
We’ve been without a home phone for over 3 years now. All cell phones. No robocalls.
@Lisap: We’ve made the font on the comments larger. Hope that helps.
Greg – can you make the font on the comments a couple of sizes larger? Matching the font on the posts would be very helpful. That way, anything we do to adjust font size at our end (such as
“ctrl +”) will have all parts of the page set to a comfortable size for reading.
As soon as I realize I’m listening to a recording, I hang up.
No land line, no robo calls. Just a tree-hugger’s nightmare of glossy paper fliers- every flippin’ day – and one canvasser on a bicycle.
In general, I think Robocalls backfire, particularly if a candidate uses them more than once.
I assume my household is not the only one to be called by Matt Damon for Elizabeth Warren?
I had heard Matt was calling select individuals directly, did you try saying hello or did you just listen?
He left me a message.
did he leave his number?
I hung up on Matt, but a friend says his was the only call she listened to, just to hear him talking to her 😉
Well what do you know. I just checked my home messages and I had one from Matt too. He offered me a ride to the polls (and left me a number).
@Gail, should I ask him to swing by your place and pick you up on the way?
There was one particularly snide and nasty recording of a woman’s voice thatcame from the Bielat corner, deriding Joe Kenndy. I really felt assaulted on this end of the phone, so I’d say the B…. for Bielat robo call was the most unsettling and annoying.
Bill Clinton called us during dinner tonight.
I heard about the Matt Damon robocall from a friend who lives in Bedford. Wish I’d gotten it, but I didn’t.
