Love this post from the New England Mobile Book Fair’s Facebook page…
Yesterday I watched a little girl ask her mom whether they could buy a book. When the mom said yes, the girl did that excited dance that kids do… little jumps & squeals while clutching the book to her chest. Her mom bent down to her eye level and said, “Ask for more things. This is a building of yeses.”
Beautiful!
Thanks for sharing this one, Greg. It’s awesome.
I’m going to have to rethink my “Buy a book? What are you crazy? All you kids want to do is read, read, read. Now let’s get out of here and go watch some TV” speech.
Thanks Greg, I loved it too!
I love this anecdote. That’s the way my wife and I feel about bookstores too.
