Info from City Councilor Vicki Danberg:

A replica World War II cattle car which serves as the “classroom” for a powerful history lesson is at Newton City Hall outside in the War Memorial Circle.

The Shadowlight Hate Ends Now Cattle Car Experience is open today until 3:00 p.m. and again on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Free tours run every 30 minutes. The exhibit will be open for high school students on Monday and Tuesday.

Participants step inside an exact replica of a cattle car used during the Holocaust to transport Jews and others to concentration camps and watch a 21-minute, 360-degree presentation featuring stories from survivors which teach the history along with steps we can all take to stop hate and intolerance.
