A few week’s back we ran this tongue-in-cheek post about “$26,700” being spray painted on Watertown St.
This week that stretch of Watertown St was nicely repaved. Before the new pavement was barely cooled National Grid came by and spray painted markings on the brand new pavement of where they appear to be planning to soon dig.
I would have thought that the city and the utilities would coordinate around any new pavings of streets. Appears in this case they didn’t
Jerry, you haven’t followed the comedy of errors that is the work on Chestnut Street between Route 9 and Commonwealth over many years. Apparently, coordinating the various utilities and public works projects to avoid what you describe is a practice more honored in the breach than in the observance. I doubt that Chestnut Street will ever become whole in my lifetime.
