A price-is-right moment on Watertown Street in West Newton, as someone
spray-painted in big white numerals — $26,700 — on a patched segment
of blacktop.
It may disappear in the next few days as road construction gets
underway with the long overdue repaving from Albemarle to Washington
Street in West Newton Square. This mysterious message makes drivers
and pedestrians alike wonder if they are getting their money’s worth.
Sounds like a bargain to me.
Probably an accurate price per square foot
I hope it wasn’t the price tag to fill the pothole.
Could be a couple of things:
1. Homeowners cost to upgrade their connection to city services after building their new house.
2. Least likely: Cost to repair auto damages from hitting the former pot hole
You should post it to @universalhub on Twitter if you want it to go viral. And be seen by someone who may actually investigate why this is apparently a $26,700 project and do something about it.
