| Newton MA News and Politics BlogThe Newton Nomadic Theater exists to present our own theatrical productions but every so often, when we find something special, we bring in a show in from the outside.   We’ve got one for you now!.

On Sat Feb 22 we will host a one-night-only presentation of “A Thousand Doorways” at Gregorian Rugs.  Diane Edgecomb in an award winning performer and storyteller.  A Thousand Doorways is her true life epic tale of traveling to remote Kurdish villages in Turkey to capture the stories of the Kurds as the government works to stomp out their language and culture.  She’ll bring to life the people that she met along the way and the stories they tell.

A Thousand Doorways is a tour de force in every way. The story of her adventures in the Kurdish region of Turkey is courageous and deeply evocative, by turns terrifying, hilarious, enchanting and poignant. Her delivery of this incredible story is impeccable, bringing to life every character she meets with vivid style.

This one’s bound to sell out so don’t wait.   More info and tickets ($20) here.
