As many are aware, I’m a coach on the Newton LigerBots, the high school-level FIRST robotics team here in the city.

On Monday we’ll be hosting our annual information night for parents interested in starting FIRST Lego League (FLL) and Junior FLL Robotics programs.

It happens from 7pm to 9pm on Monday evening at Newton North High School in the Film Lecture Hall. If you walk in the main entrance you’ll see us there. Don’t worry, we’ll keep your kids busy with STEM activities while you learn about coaching.

FLL is aimed at fourth through eighth graders. In addition to building and programming LEGO robots, each year’s themed FLL challenge includes a project for which team members brainstorm and present creative solutions to real-life problems. This event is aimed at parents and students. Junior FLL is a project-based program for grades K-3.

You can just stop in or email us with questions at [email protected]. We have a website too: https://ligerbots.org/fll
