Great clip! But it was a bit scary to see the passengers in the backseat riding without seatbelts.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this entertaining and informative clip. I had no idea Oak Hill had been hit so hard from Hurricane Carol in 1954.
I also enjoyed the sing along to Bobby Fuller’s enduring hit song from 1960–I Fought the Law [and the Law Won]. I did some work on a documentary about Fuller a few years ago. His 1966 murder in Hollywood remains one of rock and roll’s most intriguing mysteries.
Fun video. Fun series. But am the only one who gets a little unnerved by Carl’s chatting, singing and holding up photos while driving?
Maybe you’re underestimating Carl’s mobile studio. Maybe he’s got pneumatics rocking the car and he’s “green screening” the scenes in the windows.
Of course! That must be it Jerry, in which case I’m impressed by the choreography, lighting and special effects. For example it’s great how both Carl and the chief simultaneously pretend to be distracted by something over their left shoulders at about 30 seconds in!
