| Newton MA News and Politics BlogThis Sunday, Sept 16, come join the Upper Falls Village Day Parade! This year Village Day is moving down from the Emerson Playground to Chestnut St, (at Oak) beside the Upper Falls Greenway. That last block of Chestnut St will be closed to traffic and filled with music, fun, food, and festivities.

We are recruiting as many people as possible to march in the Upper Falls Village Day Parade. It will start on The Upper Falls Greenway at Tower Rd at 12:30 and march down to Oak St. It will be led by mayor Ruth Ann Fuller and a Dixie land jazz band. Crazy hats, kids on bikes, scooters or in baby carriages, build a float, wear a costume, bring your dog or pet monkey, bang on a drum – whatever you’d like to do, we need you in the parade. It will be great fun for everyone. We’ll provide giant puppets and a case of kazoos. You bring whatever you want to lend a festive, wacky, fun element to the parade. All ages welcome!!!

Gather on the Greenway at Tower Rd at 12:15. Parade begins at 12:30. See you there.
