I didn’t know this was a thing. But here’s Newton’s own Boston College Police Department, lead by former BPD Commissioner Bill Evans, and the Boston University Police Departments undertaking law enforcement’s #LipSyncChallenge

    You must be living under a rock if you didn’t know this was a “thing”!
    It’s been going on all over the country all summer long….
    Now I’m just waiting to see if Newton PD will step up and face the challenge….?!

    Brenda, my guess is that Evans probably thought it was a lot of fun. Not that college police don’t deal with serious issues, but compared to BPD or other urban departments they can likely afford to be a little goofy sometimes.

    I like this creative way to show police officers are just like everyone else. This one in Norfolk, VA is another favorite. I don’t know whether it’s the song, the guy out front, the diversity included, or that it includes a white haired woman.
