The streets of Auburndale will be alive with music this Sat June 2 for Newton’s first ever PorchFest. Wander the streets of Auburndale and hear over 60 bands of every kind (pop, classical, reggae, blues, rock, jazz, Latin, R&B, and more.) playing for free on front porches and yards everywhere. If you’d rather travel by bike then foot join BikeNewtons Porchfest Tour.
For the first time out, it looks like the organizers have put together a bang up event for Newton’s first, and I’m certain it won’t be last ,PorchFest.
Rain date is Sunday, June 3.
The PorchFest organizers just sent out an e-mail saying the festival will in fact be held tomorrow (Saturday) — the weather forecast had been looking rather iffy earlier in the week, but seems to have improved enough for the event to go on.
Stop by 150 Woodland Rd (PorchFest porch #40) at Laselle College from 12 – 1 PM. The Newton Nomadic Theater is hosting some stories from the porch as part of PorchFest.
