As someone, who like many, were entertained by his show and appeared on it, I’m sorry to hear this. He was really kind to the studio audience, the mothers and fathers, and all the children on stage. To then transform and reinvent himself a few more times after that was remarkable. Television, and career longevity within it, is almost impossible to achieve and Mr. Avurch did so… and with style.
I did not know he was a Newton resident. Passing of a local legend.
