   In the Navy, we used to grumble about the 5 % that “never get the word. I had it down for tomorrow. Actually, it’s kind of an affront, bordering on sin, not to have it on the Saint’s actual feast day; but I’ll get over it. Glad it went so well. See you next year.

   So that’s what all the noise around the corner from my house was the other morning. Unfortunately made the same mistake as Bob Burke and missed the breakfast. I guess the special permit for more parking for Dunn-Gatherin worked out.

   Belated thanks to Seanna, Jerry and the others who threw the farewell party for me last year.

   Dunn-Gaherin is such a cosmic improvement over the Bikee bar that preceded it. Thanks for all your good work Seanna.

     @Mike: As I said during my remarks Friday: Some of our city councilors want us to have to pay a dime for a paper bag but they don’t want us to be able to buy a dime bag.

   I wish I could maintain my sense of humor about this issue. If it were just about cannabis I’d be more capable of finding some humor in it all. But stealing a ballot box vote goes against everything I believe in.
