| Newton MA News and Politics BlogOn the weekend of Feb 24/25 the Newton Nomadic Theater will be launching what we hope will be the first in a series – Behind the Scenes.

When we started the theater three years ago I was a complete theater novice, so for this first one we’ll  tackle the first question I had – what does a director do?

Nicole Galland, an award winning director and founder of Shakespeare for the Masses will walk us through how each directorial choice can transform a script into something completely new.

We’ll see various scenes from Shakespeare played multiple times using different directorial choices.  With each choice, the same words on the page will yield wildly different results.

We’ve recruited a great cast for the evening – Noni Lewis (All in the Timing, Molly Sweeney), Steve Vaughan (Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, Scrooge in A Christmas Carol) and a fabulous Newton Nomadic newcomer Abigail Dickson.

Don’t miss this wildly inventive, entertaining and surprising look behind the scenes.  One weekend only! so get your tickets soon while they last.
